Country: United Kingdom

Director: Mike Hodges

Synopsis: Martha Travis, a clairvoyant, travels across the USA with her hard-drinking, manipulative father, Walter. During a show she tells Mrs Kuron that her husband was shot dead by a man wearing black gloves. Puzzled, Mrs Kuron says her husband is at home watching TV, but later that night he is killed as Martha described. He was about to blow the whistle on a chemical plant's poor health and safety record and was killed a hit man, Lloyd Harley, hired by Ted Silas, the plant's owner. In subsequent shows Martha prefigures further deaths. She becomes more and more distraught. Eventually, Walter is shot by the killer (trying to kill Martha) but he is then gunned down by the police.
